n.b. since 2012 BOF has shifted its "take" from membership to events.
and the explanation for this was to spread the costs equally between everyone who competes. However the profit making from the British Championships and JK seems to be BOF exploiting the committed orienteers. There shouldn't be any reason why they don't take the same per person levy from the British Championships as from any other event, even if to do this would mean raising the levy across the board.
