We've already announced the following winners:
Young Junior Women - Laura Harrison (EPOC)
Open Men - Leon Foster (AIRE), also 2012 champion
Superveteran Men - James Crawford (GO)
Superveteran Women - Carol Edwards (TVOC), also 2012 champion
Alex Fielding (HH, 478) was the only one of the top four Young Junior Men to
race in Salisbury and his second place gives him a big lead over Thomas Howell (SN, 393) and Joe Hudd (BOK, 392). Unsurprisingly, none of them has entered Edinburgh so it looks like a win for Alex.
Third place at Salisbury gives Nick Wilson (LEI) the Junior Men trophy:
congratulations NIck!
Laura Hindle (MDOC) matched Nick's Salisbury result and also his category win:
congratulations Laura for retaining your Junior Women title!
In the Open Women category, Beth Hanson (HH, 625/8) failed to capitalise on
Jayne Sales (SLOW, 644/7) being in Rome and now needs to finish in the top two in
Edinburgh with Jayne out of the top dozen. However, Jayne is one of the eight Edinburgh entries and Beth isn't.
Martin Ward (SYO, 675.5/9) could still be overtaken by Richard Barrett (BAOC,
576.5/6), but only if Richard makes a late entry.
Tanya Taylor (LOG) failed to improve on her 655 points but can't now be caught in the Veteran Women category: congratulations Tanya!
Martin Wilson (BKO, 683/8) also failed to improve his Ultravet Men total in
Salisbury while Mick Smith (HH, 679/8) edged up by a point. Mick could win it in Edinburgh but he hasn't entered.
We have a tie in the Ultraveteran Women! Second place in Salisbury for
Yvonne Hodson (TVOC) put her level with Ruth Rhodes (SO). Neither is on Saturday's
start list so this looks like being shared. (No tie-break was defined for this
year, although next year the head-to-head record will decide.)

Well, I reckon that if I can program it for the chess leagues then I stand a fighting chance of being able to do so for the urban leagues too.

Mrs Spookster came 12th today, but hasn't been given any points. And it'll make a difference to her overall position!
P.s. thanks for getting results up so quickly!

..and neither did Sunday's planner who ran late after putting out controls.

Re: Nopesport Urban League 2013
Thanks to ESOC for putting on such a challenging and fitting finale to the NOPESPORT and SOUL series. Control 11 on course 2 has just about supplanted Control 6 at Lanark last time as my "urban leg of the season" - all the more impressive as it was planned from the planners new home in England.
More to come in 2014 in Scotland with a full SOUL series plus Race the Castles!
Thanks very much to SIman for getting the results up in the league so quickly. The missing results in the leagues are mine and Graeme's fault - we needed SIman to upload the preliminary results before everyone was finished so we could do the prizegivings. APologies for the latests 2 or 3 finishers who werent back by then.

Re: Nopesport Urban League 2013
Could I make a please for the Nopesport league events to be announced early. Not necessarily the whole league in one go, but each event at least 3 months in advance, i.e. before the cheap train tickets go on sale.
This means for example that we ought already to have been formally told whether or not next year's January Edinburgh race is in the Nopesport league.

I think the same probably works for the organisers of the events as its handy to know if you can put NOPE on the publicity. Edinburgh is definitely a SOUL though. If its desperately important to your decision to come or not to Edinburgh I'd pm brooner - he's probably got his thinking hat on by now.
