Fabulous long weekend and many thanks to Mike and the team for three quality events. Mike you asked about the buses to Villa Ada. We had no problems getting the bus there but were told there was going to be a thirty five minute wait for the bus back so we decided to walk as we had tickets for the Forum. Extra bus? Small issue only personal to us because of the tickets.

Speaking with friends from the 70+ age group they said they didn't want shorter courses, they just wanted their own class.

Fantastic series of events - thanks Mike and all the team. Pleasantly surprised with my overall result considering the mistakes I made, esp. through trying to go too fast in parts of Villa Ada. Would definitely be interested in another go in 2 years.

Marco has already suggested May 2015! Tatty, we would have done it 2nd weekend if we could but it was not possible with the arcane fixtures rules here.

A very enjoyable weekend

Good mix of areas, nice mix of formats, good mapping and courses, and about the right length given that it was 3 races in only 2.5 days. Really nice atmosphere in assemblies and good to have commentary and a well-attended prize giving.

Buses to Villa Ada - there were plenty of public buses, and a metro, so I wouldn't worry about event-specific buses.

Maps - disintegrated. Better paper required. Don't bother with map bags.

I don't think thicker plastic bags would have solved the problem.
Before I got to control 2 (77) on Friday a short rub inside the bag had created a clear gap through a thick impassible hedge. There is no clear fold-line there across my map, even now. As this was 80m up an otherwise dead-end it cost me a few seconds. I only realised it was a rub after finishing and looking at someone else's map, on which there clearly was no gap.
