Recent Masters World Championships Bronze medal winner, Killian Lomas is putting on an event in Sheffield this Saturday 9th Nov.
A new MTBO area. Wooded with thick undergrowth and some elevation, but with lots of fast riding tracks. There are some areas of open land adding some interest. Should test the best and great introduction for others.
This will use a normal O map with tracks marked showing ride ability (ie not a score event using an OS map) and there will be 3 courses to choose from. It would be great to see a few foot orienteers giving this a try where accurate navigation will play a big part rather than just pure bike riding speed. The style of navigation is more like an Urban race.
For those of you too young to remember - Killian is also a former British Junior Foot O squad member and has a great reputation for putting on these shorter technical MTBO events.

Re: Mountain Bike O Event Sheffield this weekend
It will be the navigation that will be technical and not the riding.
