Well done to Quentin and Zoe Harding winning C by I think an hour, over Alex McCann and Matt Elkington in 2nd. B next year for all of you?
Looking at yesterday's splits, one of the legs took anywhere between 90 and 200 minutes, nothing compared to the long elite leg but still a big one.

Re: OMM Predictions
Win for Nick Barrable and Gustav Bergman on Elite - Took Nick a few years of persuasion I think, but he finally got his man! And that is an impressive range of courses won by Nick now.
2nd Steve Birkinshaw and Kim Collison
3rd Sander Vaher and Timo Sild
Win for Jonnies Crickmore and Malley on the A - having, if rumours were true spent some of the night in the Portaloos - tent problems.
Richard Robinson and Andy Llewellyn 3rd.
Had to leave the prize giving after that I am afraid to get i n queue for car to be towed out.

Re: OMM Predictions
Wow a win for SYO on Elite - is that the first ever?
Congrats Nick!
Anyone know about LS?

Re: OMM Predictions
3:12 for long leg on Sat is impressive.
1st time in Brecons there was something like a 12km leg with 3 variant road crossings (although there was a punch at each) - but this looks even longer. Routegadget should be interesting.

Re: OMM Predictions
apparently bad weather courses used today.
I think E was the only course Nick hadn't won, though I may be remembering incorrectly.

Re: OMM Predictions
That was my recollection too. I think he had won all 3 score sores previously.
LS just updated with Brendan and Chris winning day 2 as well. So I think that makes it 2 people who have won the 3 toughest classes: E, A and LS.

Just a thought but does that mean Nick has now won every class on the OMM/KIMM?
Well done Nick and Gustav

Re: OMM Predictions
2-3 day 1: V.similar start and similar route choices to the one from 1995. I think our Control was the NE corner of the forest to the SE of Fan Gyhirych and that felt like a Loooong leg! We went N that year and I'd have done the same this time, heading from the path S of Fan Gyhirych W and follow OOB up and aim for a "gap" in the crags! That's be a tricky finish to the leg in the clag though.

Re: OMM Predictions
BTW does anyone know who the planner was? Looking at Elite I am suspecting it was Andy Creber due to the combination of both [very] long legs and control picking in the trickier areas.

Re: OMM Predictions
I think it was Roger Smith, he's the one who sent me the Condes course files for RouteGadget.

Planners were Andy Creber, Paul & Joc Dodd. Roger was the controller.
