Twin Peaks
Great course (short brown) in Mac Forest. Not the best area and certainly not everyone's cup of teas, but I thought our course made really good use and I really enjoyed in despite struggling up the hills. Lots of genuine route choice which kept you thinking and some lovely bits of forest to run through.

Re: Twin Peaks
Thanks for the positive comment. Macclesfield Forest gets a bad press but the last few races there have made a point of using the best bits, to good effect. Several bits were remapped for this event and the planner made good use of them,
The area can't be too bad, the GB Elite squad were in there recently doing some training.
Nice follow up second half to Twin Peak weekend, despite mis punching with a stupid mistake.

We were, but we were practising running through grot, not orienteering...

Dave, you must have been in the wrong part of Macc Forest, but maybe by intent. Most of it is really nice.

Ah yes, that'll be the British Elite Grot Running Squad.

And before you squaddies get all defensive - back in the day we used to practice all sorts Crag Jumping, Fence Leaping, Boulder Bounding - all good stuff. Kitch may remember the Crag Jumping incident in Rivelin
