Actually the issue is more likely to be that day one was also the British Schools Score Championship and he is therefore likely to have photographed children without permission to publish the pictures from their parents. However the area is probably classifiable as a "public place" so he is probably OK.
But it's not my problem.
Btb Gross never seen any strange aircraft there - Simonside however..... (quite fun running along the ridge and having the RAF plane below you)

Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

Permission sought and obtained as requested by the Organising club, even though not actually required.

Re: Nato October Odyssey Druridge Bay videos
Not wishing to upset nooomember unduly but while discussing the Cramlington Urban Race (3rd November - should be rather testing on route choice while running rather quickly) the planner (of both events) pointed out to me that noomember's video shows him running alongside the main road which was marked as a Forbidden Route (for safety reasons as the vehicles travel on it rather quickly). Fortunately he is only seen to be on the verge which the planner intended to be OOB but isn't really clearly shown as such on the map so he's OK and DQ was never an option but there are disadvantages to displaying too much detail in public

Afraid I failed to get that far into the video. Switched off when it got to the long lingering view of a hedge near a stile which did lead me to wonder what was happening.

Andy, have you seen the map? There is no forbidden route marked.

The point is, make a video engaging and people will watch it for longer. May have been a very interesting start but it did not look like that on the video. There is such a thing as editing out the boring bits.

Re: Nato October Odyssey Druridge Bay videos
It is meant to show the WHOLE course, so not to be edited.
It isnt a movie for entertainment purposes.
You also have a Fast Forward button so you can jump to any point.

Actually Simon it shows up on nooomember's video part of the map as he runs that bit a series of crosses on the road -that's what Adrian intended as a forbidden route

Re: Nato October Odyssey Druridge Bay videos
The final details stated, and the map shows, that it is the actual ROAD that is out of bounds.
The rough open wide 'verge' is clearly in bounds. Seeing how exceptionally rough some of it was, it was common sense to run on the 'mown' edge.
There were many competitors using this route also.

Please please please tell me you are not doing the OMM this weekend!
I did fast forward using the exit button. Sorry but I don't have the time to scan through to the good bits. For me the interest should be obvious and make people want to keep watching, regardless of the subject matter. Sorry but it didn't do it for me.
