Java and Routegadget

I still haven't seen any other web application that offers what RouteGadget does and is compatible with the newer devices and doesn't use Java. If you know of anything that does offer this sort of functionality let me know.

They're working on something here in Oz, tied into the Eventor event/results management system (which is also rather decent, take note BO), and early iterations look pretty neat.

And works on iPads!!

Does indeed look good, though I'm a bit unsure about calculating the control positions from routes - that could go badly wrong in an urban event especially. Also, there doesn't seem to be a way of manually entering a route, which is what most people do with Routegadget (in my experience, the GPS ones need so much tweaking that it isn't worth the trouble, though I nearly always do urban events where this is more of a problem).

I foolishly? agreed to update Java after entering my route for Inshriach.

Now Java tells me I am fully updated but Routegadget won't run either on Explorer or Crome saying that I need to update my Java

Should I deinstall Java and reinstall it?

Well I did the update and everything is still working fine.
Uninstall and re-install often resolves things so it's worth a try.
