Re: Review of the Talent and Performance Programme
What does Cat Taylor have to do to get in the top squad? She won her qualifier for the Long race atWOC, and came back second, only 10 seconds down, in the Relays. She is putting in World class performances, the best of any GBR forest runner, and has true potential,as a medallist. Others have a lot to prove.

That's an odd one right enough, although when you say others have a lot to prove you dont mean those actually selected do you?

Could be wrong but I thought the top squad didn't get funding so she's better off where she is?

Be insecure enough to actually care? Luckily there doesn't seem to be any evidence of that!
I suspect the real answer is "be older". Though they have sensibly found a way to include some of the more senior team athletes in the programme.
Interesting shift in England/Scotland balance in the junior boys between 18 and 16s.
