After a rich reflection, I have decided to end my professional sports career with the World Cup races in swimming.
The reasons for this are very versatile and I have much time left to make aware to this decision .
What remains and will always remain , is the joy of OL . This is certainly an important reason that I was able to experience such a nice long career and I look forward in the future to many great OL experiences. The motivation for the competitions in the summer is still there , but those around them less for the winter training and the whole effort.
I felt it did last winter , that the " bumpy " accumulated phase ( injury, illness , child care ) and I 'm lucky that I could stand in top form at the start of the World Cup in Finland again .
And then the World Cup in Finland is also one of the main reasons for my resignation : I could not think of a better time than right after this huge success in Vuokatti . If I can speak from a high point in my long and successful career, then now!
A continuation of the career " on the back burner " (eg only WOC or only part inserts) I do not 'm considering if I do something, with full commitment and right!

Although my chance at the overall title is still intact , but since I was at the races in New Zealand not there, I start on the defensive . I can not make it on their own , even two wins would be no guarantee for the overall victory .
