We can recommend going to the Hungarian O Cup, having just come back from this years 5 day event.
Well organised with apparently small numbers of helpers each day, a good range of add on events, including a relay (North West team of Alistair Thornton, Alex McCann and Matthew Fellbaum were third, with Romanian National team 5 mins ahead and a German team in second. Mikrosprint, MTBO, Mobile O and a beer relay also acted as support activities.
Based at an event centre at Vezsprem 130 km SW of Budapest, the races consisted of 2 days in very runnable deciduous wood, a bit like parts of the Chilterns with a few crags. Day 3 was an excellent urban course, with proper course for juniors. Day 4 and 5 made use of the army based around the event centre. Think of a cross between Helsington Barrows and Greenham Common, some vegetation but some very fast legs between small features. The main difference was the heat, 35 degrees. Day 5 was cooler and saw faster running from all the group.
Overall some good results with Vicky Thornton winning overall, Tom Fellbaum and Chris Owens getting second in their classes, decided on the final day.

Re: Hungaria O Cup
Yes, they organise this event well. I could only attend Day 2 but I'm glad I made the effort to go.
