Re: London Ultrasprint + London City Race
I have just spent the most frustrating 2 hours of my life trying to enter the LONDON CITY RACE and other races, can anybody confirm whether there has been a problem with the fabian4 entry site tonight. After entering all my details and clicking on next step it keeps saying make sure I have entered all competitors. Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

People were entering pretty steadily throughout yesterday evening - with one entry just a few minutes before midnight. If you are still seeing issues then Adrian at Fabian4 is pretty responsive.

Is the statement on the web site about no DLR trains between Bank/Tower Gateway and West India Quay still true? TFL doesn't show any issues with the DLR that day, though it does show the closure of the Central Line that's also mentioned.

Thanks - obviously TFL's journey planner isn't as well-informed as it ought to be.

Just discovered another travel issue - according to National Rail Enquiries there are no trains to Greenwich on the 22nd (although there is a replacement bus service, or you could travel via Lewisham and take the DLR from there).

Thanks roadrunner, I hadn't spotted that. Looks like Jubilee + DLR will be the best route for almost everyone then, I'll update the Location page on cityrace.org

At least for the way back I would highly recommend the Thames Clipper boat - it's £6 single but well worth it for the view (and you can go as far as Waterloo)

For those that enjoy watching cycling the final stage of the Tour of Britain is taking place in London on the Sunday
There are number of races throughout the day on a short circuit between Westminster Bridge and the Tower of London, mainly along the Embankment http://www.tourofbritain.co.uk/home.php#.UjFqIn_ke2M. The main race is between 15.30 and 17.30. The Saturday stage starts in Epsom, taking in the Surrey Hills and finishing in Guildford

Pre-entries will close at the end of tomorrow. EOD will be very limited, mostly because of available start times. We're trying to cram everyone into a start window of 10-12, so with classes approaching or over 120 entries (i.e. every male class) there will be a long wait for a start time for any entries on the day. Get your entry in now.

Another great London City Race, thanks SLOW.
Not as technically challenging as the city and Barbican areas, but good to race in a different part of London, and there were still a few very good route choice challenges around the docks I thought.

Some photos from the finish of today's City Race are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wendles56/sets/72157635770531943/
As per usual feel free to download them. If you are going to use them in newsletters etc I would appreciate a credit. Message me if you have any problems accessing them.
Thanks to all concerned with today's event. It was an interesting place to orienteer around and I was wishing I had taken my camera to the start to blip the observation platform up on the DLR! I have to say that I felt my course (8) favoured the runners and I would have liked a bit more thinking/ route choice at times.
