Sheffield city Race
Does anyone know when the final details will be going up? Just we are leaving home to go up there tomorrow! Nothing on the SYO website apart from the flyer!

Think assembly is at Don Valley Athletic Stadium but that's just from looking at the Google map - other than that sorry can't help.

Soon, I expect.
The flyer says assembly is within 100m of Attercliffe tram stop, so I think if you head for Shortridge Street or Shirland Lane you'll be pretty close.
Starts are 1030 to 1230. I'm expecting start times to be published, but I also expect they'll be flexible. It'll be almost all tarmac surface, and very few contours.

I thought "flat" and "Sheffield" were mutually exclusive......

I guess this is a relative statement. Applied to courses in the fens it would mean unusually hilly (but only a few metres of climbing) (e.g. Cambridge City race map had no contour lines). Applied to Yorkshire it means unusually flat (but with some inclines), as I note there is 120m of climbing in the M Open course.

Positively mountainous to the orienteers of York and Hull! Even Otley in Wharfedale only managed 1 contour if I recall correctly.
