Weather alert!
Have been in Sestriere for a couple of days now and a word of warning about the temperature here is needed.
The main thing is to treat the weather icon on the home page with grave suspicion. As I write, it reports sun and 24C. The sun bit is OK, but my car thermometer read 11C a short while ago and woollies are now needed. [We've had thunder and loads of rain for about 12 hours until early afternoon.]
However, it was 26C when I arrived and peaked at 24C yesterday, so beautiful conditions do occur regularly. The moral of this is to expect all sorts if you're coming ...

Re: WMOC2013
There's something very strange about the navigation on the website. If you are on any subsidiary page, then there is no link to results, but if you go back to http://www.wmoc2013.it/, then the results magically appear. Alternatively just google "WMOC 2013 results".
Most usual suspects have qualified, but Mark Saunders seems have got himself DQed. Seem to be a very large number of voided legs though.

4 x GBR medals today in a physically tough and technically challenging area at altitude in Sestriere. Mapping was ok.
Sarah Rollins - GOLD - W35
Nick Barrable - BRONZE - M35
Bill Hanley - BRONZE - M60
Tony Thornley - BRONZE - M65 (by a second!)
SYO = best club
I heard also Christine Kiddier GO and James Crawford were 6th and Gavin Clegg WSX 8th on M55. Alice Bedwell 9th. Results probably up by now...

This appears to be a rogues gallery from WMOC sprint...
It's quite interesting that there has been a long history of cheating and unsporting behaviour at the World Masters, yet almost none (that I know of) at WOC or JWOC.
