Sarah in 20th as well.
The planner's "surprise" appears to be to declare that there were forested areas and then plan a course which didn't use them, although optimum route 16-17 does look like straight through the wood.

Or the use of temporary "uncrossable" fences in some places? Seemed a bit gratuitous.

Re: WOC 2013
I didn't like the way a bit of forest was made out of bounds a few years ago in Norway, but for a sprint I think it makes a lot more sense. The WOC Sprint can be hard to fit into a suitable area, adding fences that don't really change the terrain much because there are already fences all over the place...

As far as the guys go... I think the 3 GB lads have the ability and speed to produce a 1-2-3 if they can keep their cool and get it right. Here's hoping!

I'm not sure whether the fences in the car park at 12 are just for WOC or are there all the time. Several of the women ran round them, despite the fact there is a big gap on the straight line to 13. Probably costs about 5 seconds. The test runner they have just shown running 11-12-13 on the TV ran round as well.

Speaker sound and STV pictures seem to be a good combo currently...

Re: WOC 2013
Great run by Tess and good run by Sarah. I believe Tess recovered from sickness at weekend. Hope Helen recovers as well from similar thing - lucky to get through qualifying despite being quite ill.
We watched Finnish TV on one screen. STV on another and GPS tracking on a third - all for free. Only problem was live results which did not update after first few runners. Still not showing results although have seen them on both TV channels.
