A medal was certainly there to be had - he was ahead of or equal to all three medalists at radio 4 after 9 minutes.

(what happened to Trond Einar Pedersli - he was tied 3rd at the last radio, with just 24 seconds of the race left, but then lost 13 seconds and nearly missed out on 6th )

Lots of athletic young people collapsing after the finish line.
Shows how technical and how pressured, but obviously takes a Czech view of things so I found not easy to follow. You may prefer Wimbledon or Tour De France highlights.

Womens relay under way. Julie and Charlotte on first legs, but Charlotte seems to have gone missing from second and third radios. Fingers crossed...

I have a lot of sympathy for runners who find themselves tackling a relay situation they've not experienced before.

Maybe interesting to look at what our team members did in the JK (selection event) relays this year. Leg 1 of the Women's Premier featured a majority of the WOC senior team: Claire, Tessa, Hollie, and Catherine. It ran next to the vet men too, so there were plenty of runners.

Katie and Zoe ran leg 1.
Julie ran leg 2 (Riina Kuuselo was leg 1.)
Charlotte ran leg 3, same team as Katie, overtaking two teams and nearly catching
Lucy, who was last leg for a non-comp Edinburgh University team.
Tamsin ran leg 1 of Senior Women (which the team won)

Over in men's premier, Peter ran leg 1, Will and Aidan ran leg 2, Jonny and Adam ran leg 3. Like Tamsin, Chris ran leg 1 in the corresponding Senior race.

Pete ran leg2 at BOC to 'practise 2nd leg for JWOC'. Alas all I did was give him practise at chasing down a 6min deficit after properly spannering a gully control on leg 1.
He did run the 2nd fastest time of the day though

Disastrous route choice for Will

Edit: must have been the the tracking not picking him up. He's just jumped forwards about 300metres instantaneously

Now Aidan has apparenty just stood still for a minute and then suddenly appeared at the next control. This is not good for me...
