bogglingly rocky. at least there won't be too many "wrong flags" to draw you astray, I just hope that the different sizes of boulder are clear on the ground otherwise people could record my sort of time!

Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

The courses look great, not as challenging as I'd first expected but plenty to put you off, parallel error on. Our guys should enjoy this, navigating by what's under the black dots - ie using the contours and other features to help you get into the circle. It's a fast finish if you're brave enough too!

Yes, but the current leader is quicker than they predicted. They predicted winning time of 27 mins, so they thought it would be 9 mins/km for the women.

You spoke too soon. Bad news for Charlotte.

Looks like Zoe found it tough as well, and will struggle to stay inside the top 30.
Fingers crossed for Lucy...

Sounds like a coach who knows what he is talking about speaking; the terrain reminds me of the world vets in 1992, beaches, boulders and bush!

Yep, if they can help each other spot controls behind boulders, that could work.

Re: JWOC
As I mentioned - Klysner through the 2nd radio in 2nd place.
Unfortunately, Charlotte not with her - has dropped another 2 minutes to her. On track for a top 40 now - but is gutsy enough to get this back under 30...
