Are the final details for the long race and relay actually on the website yet. It says

All final details being prepared at present ready for download

I would wait a day and I suspect final details will then be available in a downloadable format.

I don't get 'save target as' when I right click and I'm afraid everything else you talked about didn't make sense to a techno dunce!

I have not had problems before with final details on PDF from other events.
Could BOC not make it easier?

Er, providing the details as PDF is "making it easy".

What are you using to look at the web page (Windows, Mac, Android tablet?). Once we know what you're using, someone can give you clear instructions on downloading and printing PDFs.

try shift-ctrl-s when you are in the page - should take you to the "save as" option.

The general details PDF file has been changed and I can save it easily.

I also find that clicking on the links to the documents has no effect, although I can get them by right-clicking and choosing either "open in new tab" or "save link as...". I'm using Chrome and the BOF page is using some code to open a new window (instead of just the address of the document), which my popup blocker is preventing. That may be BB's problem.

I'm never really sure about requesting start times for big events, but as nearly all hopefuls request late I did. The starts go on for 2 hours after mine

I suppose if everyone requests late, the start list will become truly random like it used to be.

Fabian's stats showed just over 50% asked for late or very late, meaning that a small number of those will be starting before halfway. On Elite that percentage was much higher - and that is really pointless as the elites get their starts fixed by a higher body!

Well we (those running elite, in no way saying I'm of an elite standard!) all know that, which is why we know it doesn't matter what we click!

On the other hand the more elderly seem to prefer middle start times. This has resulted in a period of over 40 minutes with no spare slots on course 21. So if you're on course 21 and asked for a middle start - don't be late.

BTW - non-elite entries have re-opened on Fabian4 at the premium price for the desperate and forgetful of £30. The will close again at 21.00 on Wednesday.

As it is Ad-hoc team will be competitive

I don't think all of the individual day Final Details have yet been published. They are avialable for Training and Urban races but not the others.

With just 2 1/2 days before travelling to the event it would be helpful to know times, distances etc.
