Also, which versions of SI Card support 38 controls? I know this won't be a problem for most elites, but thought I'd mention it.

Is this relevant? The system in use is Emit.

I wont be printing the final details booklet either, as have no access to a printer, not everyone has, and since we paid for entries, paid for the parking permit, we shouldnt have to print it ourselves. It will be interesting to find out what happens at the car parks? (should they ve in use if it rains)

Not suitable for everyone but if you have a smart phone or tablet then load the pdf onto that, save it and you have your final details close at hand and portable, with no paper wasted...
You might even be able to sellotape it to your windscreen to act as a parking permit

and Tatty followed this withIt's probably some IOF-World Ranking Event rule which annoys the organisers and embarrasses the elites in equal measure.

Note that the word "should" emphasises that there is no "rule" involved here at all, the JK organisers are encouraged to supply drinks at the Finish but it is by no means a requirement. There should be drinks (water being the minimum standard) available at the Finish for all (WRE) competitors.

I understand printed programmes are being posted out to competitors, there should be no need to print your own unless you need extra copies. I don't know if it's one per competitor or one per address.

They're up, but a few times are still missing, namely for the sprint on Elite.
An aside, I can never understand why the JK start draw is not somewhere near reversed from day 1 for day 2. There are several people who are starting later than me on both days, with no obvious reason. It doesn't matter too much to me, but for those going for selections it may be more of an issue.

Perhaps you should have requested late start times on both days. I think we had the choice when entering.

Because it's a festival, it's meant to be fun and you can plan to do something else with your Easter holiday. People who prefer to orienteer following tracks can opt for late starts, people who like a bit of company go for middle, and people who expect to be "out for a while" go early.
Everyone's happy

Now thats why punters get peed off. The word should definitely does not emphasise there is no "rule" to any sane minded person. It pretty clearly means "do this". If organisers are encouraged to put drinks there why not just say organisers are encouraged to put drinks there! Sheesh - where's the Plain English Society when you need them...
Orienteering - its no walk in the park
