I understand members of the university are helping to prevent the controls from being nicked on the sprint! One of which excitedly replied saying she had gamesmaker experience...

I see I wasn't specific enough.
Does anyone know when any useful information such as location of assembly/parking and start times will be made available?
There are no rules about when JK final details must be provided, but I'm sure the Organisers are working hard to get them out in the next few days, and of course there's the issue of the weather and its impact on parking arrangements...
There are rules for the WRE final details, and they say that Bulletin 3 must be out a week before the event, which would be Friday.

Re: JK2013
and the JK website says start times will be published by the end of Friday 21st March. Which perhaps means Friday 22nd March...

Re: JK2013
Feel for those with a Bullmershe permit, thats a fair walk, I'd allow 20-25 minutes for it than the 5-10 minute walk from the earley car parks.

And the cheapskates are making you print your own parking permit. (Tough for those of us without access to a printer).

Re: JK2013
Where does it say we have to print our own parking permits? And where do I find my parking permit in order to print it?
No water at the finish for non-elites has been a regular thing for ages now, it's not so hard to take a couple of big bottles from the tap at home or your accomodation before your travel is it?

Plus there is a bar and a large canteen, you can ask for tap water with your food!

Somewhere in the final details it says parking permits will be emailled (I think by end of this week) or posted if no email address, and if not received on/by Monday to contact them.

Common sense again if you have every tried moving 2,500 + bottles of water to an area. Looking forward to attending as a competitor instead of as the Coordinator.

You should have come to Tulliallan - plenty of water for everyone there

It's probably some IOF-World Ranking Event rule which annoys the organisers and embarrasses the elites in equal measure.

I thought you were leading the 'boycott the JK campaign' so why should any of this bother you?

Re: JK2013
Assuming you want the final details, you will print them off. One more piece of paper isn't going to break the bank in the big scheme of things, ie your costs for the whole event

Re: JK2013
Bottled water is enormously environmentally unfriendly and we shouldn't be using it. If you take a bottle of your own water you are recycling a bottle, you know where the water came from and you are saving the event effort and expense it's a winner all round.

Re: JK2013
I agree wholeheartedly. But why do the elites get water then? Are they exempt from saving the planet/recycling?
