You've Been Trumped
So who watched it? Rob just bought the DVD and I am so seething mad at that odious nincompoop that I can't even contemplate going to bed yet.
Will? We've got proper fire now!

Well, I wanted to say....
"What, aren't all Americans like that?"
But thought I'd better not...

Margaret and I watched it open mouthed at the insensitivity. Above all we couldn't understand how the police behaved in such a biased way.
They could arrest someone on private land where he was welcome on the say-so that they had been trespassing on Trump's land. Yet they protected a buldozer demolishing a building on land that Trump claimed to own but the real owner had the deeds

That was pretty shocking - breach of the peace my arse! I hadn't realised that it was Salmond that overturned the original decision by Aberdeen council too - that was awful.
Lard, luckily most people I know here seem to think he's a complete twit too. Someone out there must like him though!

Thats the trouble with Salmond. He can be very plausible and entertaining but you wouldnt trust him with anything of value.
He's like the mate who's good value on a night out, so you're always pleased to see him, but you make sure he gets his round in first!

Re: You've Been Trumped
At least the Trump - SNP relationship seems to have broken down.
How is Trump allowed to build ginormous ramparts all around other people's property so that all they can see is sky? Yet Margaret's son is not allowed to build 6 feet back into his own garden with the approval of his neighbours because he might "spoil the view" of others!!!!!

The report on this website: http://www.andywightman.com/?page_id=1027 goes into more detail than the film could. (His reports on forestry and land ownership in Scotland are interesting as well).
Salmond had to step aside from the final planning decision as it's in his constituency - it was one of his sidekicks instead.
The "Tripping up Trump" facebook page is good for keeping up with info - but there's a lot of random stuff on there also.

The is a night-O at Balmedie dunes next Wednesday - maybe some of us will get lost and stray onto Trump's golf course - where the security goons have been harrassing walkers recently....
Time Gramp organised a series of unofficial night runs across the golf course (that gobbled up a large chunk of the old Balmedie map).

The Fart called for a boycott of Glenfiddich after their sponsored award was given to Mr Forbes.
They have since received a sales boost!

Looking at the Routegadget for this event, the first 4 controls of the Long course will be wiped out by the proposed 2nd golf course.

The planning application is said to have been submitted.
0.5m contours (LIDAR?) at 1:7500 gives a more impressionistic than practical view of any decent slope.

Outdoor access rights
Where access rights do not apply...
Golf courses (but you can cross a golf course provided you don't interfere with any games of golf)
So unless they're golfing at night, you're quite within your rights to run on the course. The official guidance is quite specific (and sensible), you MUST NOT cross greens but you CAN run on fairways.

Re: You've Been Trumped
Wow that's some plan! The 7th and 10th greens (and the 8th tee) leap out at me instantly as being on the "Sahara Desert" area. We've never been able to keep the map up to date enough on that bit, the wind shapes the contours, it changes every year.
Maybe he is going to have the 1st ever "Dynamic Golf Holes" that move with the sands... cos they sure as heck ain't staying put on that stuff... (assuming he can find the course under all the sand that the NE winds will whip up)
