Big thanks to EUOC for having the foresight to have starts from 11am on Saturday. Gives me time to get changed and get via the pub to Easter Road for Caley vs Hearts in the semi final at 3. Tickets for kids are only a fiver (adults £15) and Butcher's just turned down a move to Barnsley. Why not come and see what orienteering's done for the most entertaining team the SPL has seen in years. Please do me a favour and don't let me live to regret this Mr B.

There isn't a lot cafe wise on the square itself (unless there's some studenty place I don't know about), but plenty nearby... Starbucks just off middle meadow walk to the West, and plenty of candidates to the NW on forrest road/George IV Bridge and then over East towards South Bridge/Nicholson St.

Yes I believe there will be a room adjacent to assembly in the square that is being used.

Is there anyone coming to the Big Weekend that is also going to the Midlands Champs? I'm trying to get a trophy returned. It's a reasonable sized thing so might be best if there was someone who was driving.

In the absence of Final Details yet, does anyone know the time of the last start on Saturday, and the chasing start time on Sunday, please? Trying to book some trains from Sheffield.

Hi all,

the final details are very nearly ready to be published! The first start on Saturday is 11am and last start is 2pm, but please bear in mind there are a fair few people who have asked for late starts!
On Sunday the chasing sprint will start at 1pm and continue until 1.30pm after which anyone who took more than 30 minutes longer than the winner on their course or mispunched in the prologue will start. I hope this information helps you to book your trains.
We are keeping everything crossed for the snow to disappear in Edinburgh and look forward to seeing everyone this weekend!
