Old Start Squad Budget
The US Juniors are working on getting a real programme together and at the moment some key figures are balking at the costs they're predicting. To me they seem perfectly reasonable given the major cost of transatlantic travel. Does anyone have old Start Squad budgets (from when we were running a real programme) from back in the day. Scott? It'd be good to throw something towards them for a comparison.

No. Isn't it mostly the regional squads doing stuff for the younger kids now? That's what I'm talking about, not just the performance guys aiming at JWOC.

A bit before my time, I'm afraid. I guess JROS (which is the umbrella group of Junior Regional Squads) should be able to give you an indication of how much it costs to run their Lagganlia, Kincraig and Stockholm tours and Lake District weekend, which may be of some help. I'm not sure who would the best contact for them would be, but if you can't find anyone drop me an email or PM and I can suggest a few people.

Pretty sure that would be my Dad! Thanks anyway though!
Start Squad was unfortunately my time at BOF, hence I know I have the information somewhere in a binder, but on the wrong continent. Anybody else?

If it's any help then NEDS / SEDS used to cost between £750 and £1000 per training weekend.....

That was a net figure.... Remember they are late 1990's prices. Travel mostly from Central Scotland to Speyside with the occasional flight for the Scandies.
