Re: Unusual (but not flattering?) press mention of orienteer
I did away with the Round Robin this year and sorry if most of my orienteering contacts didn't get a card from me. I think I have found my niche in orienteering (plus a gainful source of employment though some of the £2.3 million would have been nice).

I have successful friends: I like that.
And they think I'm worth telling how successful they are: I like that too.
Happy Christmas.
And don't be offended if I don't send a card, I'm just lazy

We get one or two round robins every year, and I really enjoy them: the writers are obviously far better at the job than the pundits usually give credit for.

Round Robin is a misnomer.
Collins: Round Robin - a letter...having the signatures in a circle in order to disguise the order of signing.
What people seem to call a Round Robin these days is simply a Christmas Newsletter;
and ours contains an account of my orienteering experiences, to which the word "success" can hardly be applied.
Bah humbug!

Looks like BOF have done a round robin as well.

You mean they've passed responsibility round a big ring of committees so nobody knows who to blame?
Surely not

I have had trouble finding a few niches over the years.
