Woking Urban Event
Many thanks to SN, Steve McKinley and Pete Jones especially, for a fantastic race today. Great planning - you couldn't let up for a moment - super map, and the rain even eased when I ran. Shame about 10 to 11 where I made a 9 minute error, going out the control in completely the wrong direction and then not being able to work out where on earth I was .

Interesting that there was an additional printed insert of part of the course (same scale) on the map which I didn't notice (nor knew about) until I had finished. Was this because the advertised waterproof map was now in a plastic bag?
'Wonderful Woking'. can I come back next year? Thanks for a good course.

Re: Woking Urban Event
Sorry for the delay - but results, routegadget and ranking points are now all posted. I was a bit delayed by a stubborn control I couldn't get off a tree.
Yep the map insert - which was exactly the same scale was a reprint since I thought the lighter colours and my home printer created a "cleaner" view. The information was posted in the start lane on the blank maps that were on the floor but sorry if it was missed.
I did make a slight mistake with the map near the edge of the lake (control just north of 155) that some of you spotted - I just went back to my mapping traces and found I had misdrawn it rather than missmapped (honest!)
Well done to all those on Course 5 - possibly the hardest course to plan, since most of the area forces you go you are close to roads and moving traffic, hence I gave the option for any guardian an opportunity to review the course prior to running.

I agree with the others - a good area and good planning, you really had to read the map the whole way round. Shame about the map error near 155, but I guess I should have relocated a lot quicker than I did. (If I hadn't left my control description holder in my car, I'd probably have spotted that I'd run straight past number 20, then it would have been plain sailing!) Thanks, SN, look forward to running there again.

There's a discrepancy between the results on the SN website and the one posted on BOF. Anyone able to confirm which is correct?
