Still not sure how we are going to get from Venice to the Fri/Sat events, but I'm sure we'll work something out...

Mike, it's a girly weekend away for me & Em, leaving Stodge & Stodglet at home to cope with grandparents. We may well hunt you out on Saturday afternoon, but I have packed the driving license if desperation strikes!!

I'm having the same problem getting from Palmanova to Venice. Had thought it was easy enough by bus/train but now looking at it again there seems to be nothing between Palmanova and Udine (to connect with train) between 15.00 and 19.00 - so think we're going to be hiring a second car.

Yes, we've hired a car from the airport - but the friend driving hasn't been to Venice so wants to not do the race on Saturday afternoon and head to the City. So, currently looking at hiring a second car.

Let's get together Friday and see whats happening as Nick and SJ might be overnighting with Gabriele and Giulia and coming with them to Venice Sunday morning, in which case I will have 4 spare seats. But if Nick and SJ are coming with me then just 2 spare. Nick booked Mike's taxi services on 25 Jan 12 so has first dibs
