We hope that you all enjoyed today's urban event in Southampton. Unofficial results available here.
Thanks to the EMIT team and all the SOC helpers. Live results in the Event Centre did not go quite to plan but we did manage to get updates onto the wall every 10 minutes or so.

Re: November Classic Weekend
Today was fantastic, I had great fun and I thought the courses were really well planned. Lots of route choice options and I got caught out a couple of times. Also thought the new EMIT system worked really well and hope to see it at future events.
Thanks to everyone who made the event what it was!

Must agree with Julz. The courses were great, as was the map. Thank you to SOC who I know had a lot of hassle getting permissions in some of the area. Many thanks to all concened for a super event.

Agree with the previous comments. An enjoyable event. Some nice route choice legs, a few impassable walls to catch you out, and a couple of multiple level problems. The sunshine helped
Thanks SOC.

Re: November Classic Weekend
As the others said, a well-planned event: thanks, SOC. It'll be interesting to see the route choices people took on some of the legs when it's up on Routegadget. Going from the long legs towards the East of the area back to the short tricky ones at the end certainly caught me out a time or two.
It took me a little while to get used to the new Emit cards, but once I had a found it really easy. The only drawback is that you tend to get "punches" from other controls you accidentally passed by, which makes comparing splits difficult - but that could easily be fixed in the results processing software.

Many thanks to SOC for this excellent event, the map was very clear and accurate and my A course well planned making great use of the area, especially the old city walls. Well worth the journey.
