Ainsdale Dunes

Looking forwards to another chance to run on the dunes at formby.

One question for the organisers (if they are nopesport readers). Is the walk to the start/finish suitable for kids bikes? 2k is a bit much for little legs.

Route to start goes along side street, marshalled road crossing, pavement over bridge, and then footpaths into competition area, with reverse route from finish.

Would love another long-o along that coastline sometime soon.

Excellent event - thanks Deeside. Lovely area, good map and well planned I thought (Short Brown and White at least). All that was lacking was a bridge over the railway between the finish and the car park

Really excellent course (Blue), thanks planner..., enjoyed it...
...despite never really seeing the contour shapes the same way as the mapper seemed to have done! Difficult - perhaps due to the rather diffuse character of the dunes.
Anyway, well worth the trip over the Pennines; but need you to build yet another motorway spur westwards from the M6, DEE!

PS whatever has happened to the Ranking system? - points way below what I expected after a good run.
