Another day in paradise...
Good weather and good courses were on offer today. The marshes were not that wet and the ground vey runnable. I even. managed to read the 1:15000 map that went with the Big Thistle course.
So thanks to Brooner, James and Jess for making it happen.

Re: Purple Thistle, Arisaig
When it rained heavily overnight, I feared that we were going to get a repeat of 2005 but as Paul said the sun shone, the wind was light and the courses were excellent, especially the first 2k leg.
Just a pity I didn't notice the last control on the map
Looking forward to more tomorrow.
Thanks guys.

Moravian's 14 year old Andrew Barr 7th on the Mighty having run the big on the Saturday. Pretty phenomonal I reckon. At the end he set off for a few miles on his bike looking as though he'd just had a good night's sleep

Indeed Eddie. Old enough for the Mighty Thistle but too young to be awarded BOF ranking points.

Results, winsplits, routegadget all now on the PT website.
Thanks who all who came, saw & conquered (minus the last control) the courses at Arisaig, hope you all went home happy after two fabulous days on the hills.
Apologies to anyone affected by #157 on D2 being in the wrong place for the first few starters, thanks to some competitor controlling this was moved so didn't affect too many people. Our mistake for a) not tagging sites b) putting controls out in the mist during the only bad weather all weekend!
Until next time...
