Re: JWOC 2012
so Jaime took out 20 secs on that last loop. impressive. There's no shame in using other runners, especially one like Regborn, it's part and parcel of orienteering.

A brilliant run from Connor Short (IRE). A really bright prospect.

Charlotte going strong again at 2nd radio - hope she isn't caught out in the last section then we should see another top 20.

In fourth currently 2.5 minutes down - brilliant! Looking like a top 15. Could we see two girls in the top 20?

Re: JWOC 2012
Looks like Alexandersson is doing much better today - maybe running a bit conservatively to make sure she medals. Good to see another Klingon at the top.

Re: JWOC 2012
Oh dear, Lucy hasn't started well, passed and left by her 2 minute man at first radio.
On a more positive note for Charlotte, Klingon has been DSQ'd so she moves up a spot. Could this be close to a top 10 for her ????

Emily K has started well again no sign of Bagger Hagger her 2 in front woman...
Kinneberg has missed - Ogden is going to be on the podium for sure!
Looking like 10th place for Charlotte - wicked!!!

Re: JWOC 2012
9th for Charlotte, <30s off the podium (assuming there are diploma positions for top 6)
and NZL Gold (unless there are more still to come in) - excellent for them. I noticed their women's team did very well at France last year, I wonder if Lupo and Ursi (the Wolfs) were involved in their JWOC team too!

I think you have to be careful here, I believe its against the rules to blatantly follow someone (hopefully someone can correct me if I'm wrong) and certainly against the spirit of the sport. So I guess it depends on how you define 'using', and I agree its certainly possible to run with someone without cheating.
In this case Jamie got ahead of Regborn at the end so either they were running together or Regborn was following Jamie, so well done! Bodes well for the future as long as his coach can get the first few controls right

To oblivion and beyond....
