Am looking forward to todays event on what sounds like a fast area.
My wife however is a bit anxious by the info in the final details regarding uncrossable features. There's no mention of the type of map (ISSOM or ISOM) in the final details so I'm unable to go over the symbols with her beforehand. Hoping we dont get into a situation where the info on the map isnt sufficient to get novices like her round the course!
Hopefully there'll be a map at registration...

Re: SoSOL 7 Hopetoun House
Really enjoyed that, fast, furious racing round an easy course - everything a sprint should be (except 7.5k of course). Think there will be debate about whether the uncrossables on the map should have been overprinted or not (can see why it would have been difficult to fit it in given the scale) but cant fault the amount of info available in the final details and at the start.
My one "mistake" came at 15 where the OOB overprinted black lines over the adjacent two ponds seemed to suggest to my tired eyes that the causeway inbetween was in bounds. A double check when i got there suggested maybe not, so lost maybe 30-40s going round to be safe.
Mrs P got round the orange in under 40min - finally a TD 3 Orange course! Well done planner.
PS Would love to see that map redone at 1:5000 in ISSOM - think it would be a quality sprint area (and ISSOM would deal with the uncrossable issues I reckon too)

it is indeed a good area for sprint, we had our chasing sprint there a few years ago.
results will be up as soon as I get them emailed...

Cheers Andy
Dont ask me - I'd to retype most of the results from Banchory to get them onto the SOUL upload format! Enjoy the rest of your weekend....

Sorry my fault (I think). Something seems to have gone wrong after I upgraded to the new version of AutoDownload! The BOF numbers are in the pre-entries export file.

Re: SoSOL 7 Hopetoun House
Some hacking about with Excel and Vlookup has done the trick. If only I could orienteer like I can butcher an Excel file...

And now the SoSOL League tables are published (so that you can point out all the mistakes
)
Congratulations to everyone who achieved the place they wanted, and commiserations to those who didn't quite make it (eg Andy)

Bah, I should have looked at the league table before starting, might have been more enthusiastic!
