Does anybody have any information on this event?
The KFO website linked from the British Orienteering website doesn't seem to have been update since the WOC2015 announcement in Aug 2011 and their fixture list since Dec 2007!

KFO email last night wrote:We have finally got permission for Devilla.
Please would you update your SOSOL website with this info'.
I'm hoping the club's website will be updated to reflect this in the next day or so.
The event registration has been done so the BO fixtures list now has the correct venue.

Hang on a minute - I've just followed this up and the date is the 10th June when I thought KFO were holding an event at Tentsmuir after the WTOC. Is this a replacement or a different name or what?
I could have arranged accomodation on the basis of an event at the same location as the WTOC -( I could have but haven't) and would now be embarassed.

Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

The event has been relocated, I think there is a problem with it being at Tentsmuir after the WTOC.
My original post was to try and get something done, as no one seems be getting the information out.

Re: KFO SoSOL6 Devilla Forest
The last time there was a South of Scotland Orienteering League event at Devilla there was a large international contingent on the day following the Park World Tour race in Perth.
This time there were competitors from all over the world after WTOC12 who experienced one of Scotlands toughest/least runnable (take your pick) forests.
Results are now available.

Which the planner forgot about when planning the orange course. Control 2 was not an orange course control.

I really enjoyed the blue. Personally didnt find it any much tougher underfoot than some of the recent events (which isnt to say it was runnable).
I guess 5 DNF (out of 11, and including Mrs P) on Orange suggests something was up. Control 2 on the map certainly looks TD3 - you can follow the ditch and the ride. I supect some of the problem is the general visibility of the forest is lower this time of year and some of the wide yellow rides on the map are easy to miss on the ground.

Sorry I meant control 3 not 2, none of the DNF's found it and two others took more than 15mins. The parents of these two were thinking of complaining. Fortunately it doesn't seem to have put them off. These rides were not visible today.

Re: KFO SoSOL6 Devilla Forest
It has got rougher. I planned a Scotlandsgaloppen there, and two people got under 6mins/km: S.Nicholson on M21E, and M.Strain on M10A

Coming soon
Boston City Race (May, maybe not)
Coasts and Islands (Shetland)

Re: KFO SoSOL6 Devilla Forest
A very enjoyable course (Blue) even though I normally hate navigating on Veg features.
Luckily I was going slow enough to notice the vague rides.
Quite a few of the Open competitors from WTOC came down with Ian Ditchfield getting the better of Remo and Anne (and thumping me).
So why didn't all the WTOC guys do the same course? Well Mark Heikoop (who represents NED at MTB-O, Ski-O, Trail-O and WOC) wouldn't run anything other than the longest course and the JPN guys had a taxi waiting (clock ticking) which had brought them from Dundee that morning - too bad they hadn't mentioned this to the rest of us who all had room in our cars.
