Just got the new CompassSport. Only looked at the editorial so far, but what a great summary Nick - I agree with100% of what you say.

While you're waiting, you could make yourself useful and find out what's going on with WMOC 2013 <spoiler alert> Nick suggests that there are some doubts about it

Housewife wrote an excellent letter about making life easier and more enjoyable for families with very young children - especially where one of the parents is an elite. She concluded by questioning the usual order of the awards ceremonies - juniors first then counting down from M/W 80s which she has decided not to stay for because it makes the day just too long for the children.

I just had this vision of the order being changed and the poor M/W80s standing on the podium in a deserted and darkening field, thinking:"Damned Housewife, she's got it all, babies, supportive husband, youth, ability, an adoring public and an endless stream of medals and here's me - I finally out live all the opposition and claw my way onto the podium and there's no one here to see it". Cue tumbleweed

Off to Oslo this weekend but I will be going up to Trentino for the Italian Long Champs in a week's time so will see what I can find out then. Last rumour I heard was there was a push to change the location coming from some quarters but nothing definite so far and 2013 is of course a very long time away in lastminute.com land

Red adder: I thought it a point well made - if you want to avoid questions like that, don't stick things down there.

At least there is less full-frontal nudity in CompassSport compared to a certain issue in the early 80s.

I see what you mean
BUT surely the hot story is John Collis' take on the JK2012 Partnership Agreement on page 25 - now that really does take some digesting. In my experience of helping to organise a JK - I don't think I'd like to have that level of Big Brotherdom - or perhaps that should be Big Botherdom
But it would be interesting to hear what other people think!
