Easily led that we are up here in Ultima Thule (thanks for that one Jon), we've believed the weather forecast and ordered a load of extra maps for Culbin this Sunday 'just in case'. Pre-entries are pretty good already but we're leaving them open til Saturday tea time just in case anyone can't resist the temptation.
I know that there's been a lot of O-travelling required in recent weeks, but Culbin in the sunshine is an experience to be savoured. Also it's your last chance to run there before Moray 2013. If you're coming, please pre-enter 'cos we're expecting (hoping?) for a lot of EOD for the Moray & Highland Junior Champs which are sharing this event - the registration team might therefore be rather busy. It's a nice event for juniors outwith Highland/Moray because even though you can't compete for the trophies you'll be able to run the same courses, and we'll publish results 'by course' as well as 'by class'. In 2010 we had 63 on the Yellow.

Re: Culbin this Sunday
Whilst I am sure Twin Peaks was a very impressive weekend, you cannot beat Culbin Forest in the Sunshine. We had around 150 smiling juniors taking part on courses from White to Long Orange and plenty of adults on TD5 and 4 courses, all planned by 2 juniors from MOR and INVOC
. Their courses were excellent, particularly at TD5 level with all competitors constantly kept on their toes with no 'gimmes'. See here for their view on the day http://moravianorienteering.org/content/planners-reportand get your juniors out planning Level C events. Unfortunately, the WOC2015 embargo does not allow us to share the delights on Routegadget, but you will be able to run at this Mecca at MOR2013
.
