1 and 2
The claim is that 1 mixes red and green, as per colourblindness. Control number 3 is interesting, as the digit shows up really well against dark green. I've tried to avoid putting numbers on green because I thought they were invisible. (based on spongey mp'ing at both the chasing sprint and night champs missing controls where I put the number in dark green)

Re: Spot the difference.
As an RG colour blindness sufferer I find the digit for 3 very easy to read but digits 2, 4, 5 & 6 less clear on sample 1. Not quite sure what this is supposed to prove? I should perhaps say that not all Red Green colour blindness is the same, so shades that may suit one person another may find difficult.

I can see both the course and all of the numbers clearly on examples 1 and 2, although the lines appear to be blue rather than their normal colour. As someone who sometimes cannot see the lines or the numbers against the green or the grey buildings, I think this is great!
Number 3 is particularly clear.

They appear blue to me as well, and I'm not even colour-blind (I think!)

I've just been laughed at by the rest of my family.
Does anyone else see maps 1 and 2 as pretty much the same?

Is there anything that can be done to *ensure* that planners don't put red numbers against green backgrounds? Perhaps the printers that do most of the O printing should be on the look-out for this and send files back to planners for improvement?
This is not a minor issue that planners can shrug off as if it doesn't matter, and something that we should be getting right after 40+ years' experience of the sport in the UK.

There is a useful feature in Condes that alllows you to put a white border round the control numbers, but it does this for all the control numbers on the course which means you can loose a bit of detail. This could be used to make the control numbers more obvious.
