There is nothing on the home page about it.

There isn't any on the page when I view it! It says:

The British Orienteering Championships Return to the Lake District and offer you an excellent extended weekend of orienteering in early May.

Clubs from across the North West have worked hard to bring you a warm up day near Keswick, an excellent area for the Long Distance Championships in Eskdale (which has caused numerous headaches for the organisers but will be well worth making the trip), a change of terrain type for some fast and furious relays, followed by a complete change of scene for a bank holiday urban race in Kendal.

British Long Distance Championships will feature in the UK Masters Cup, competitors should enter the age-class in which they want to score points.

'Home' is the big button the boc site saying 'Home'
Refresh is a way of telling the browser to reload the page, you can do it by pressing 'F5'

hit the refresh button on your browser - it is there you are just looking at a cache version

Can do it but then others will comment about the length of time it takes to load up each page viewed from scratch.

I do suspect that as you did not know how to refresh (in Firefox it's Reload, curved/circular arrow, normally next to address line) until today you are often viewing old pages.

er, why? It is possible to prevent caching, but in the absence of the 'no-cache' command in the website header, every browser that I know about will cache the content. It's set up that way for a reason: anyone viewing on a slow connection will value not having to re-download previous content, especially images, every time. It's just good manners.

The remedy is in your hands (refresh button on the browser, or F5, or ctrl-F5 if you're really desperate), which is where it should be.
