Re: Live Norwegian Night champs
Swap to the 2nd map then it becomes clear.
* Monster 1st leg
* a few controls to "6"
Then 3 gaffles back to "10" and taped route through arena
2 gaffles back to "6"
repeat
repeat
And then final common loop.

Wow, that is a monster first leg.
The replay even works on my iPhone without java.
The system seems really simple, could we use it for 2015?

It's the system that ShUOC used successfully for last year's Harvester, and the only issue was that some GPS units ran low on battery power and went AWOL. I agree, it is easy to use.

I loaded up their non-java version that worked on my iPad and was instantly sold, brilliant. I'll be trying to get another large event using thm next year (hopefully the 6 days, we'll see) with a view towards 2015. Their user interface is so much more advanced than anyone else on the market at the moment.

I think it is the same s/w that has been used for Jukola (Tio mila too?) and WOC last year in France. For the WOC relays they use and all-white map (maybe even without control circles) that showed the gaffling on early legs and more was revealed as time went on.
If you haven't replayed the final leg of the women's WOC relay - then it is well worth watching - I suppose in theory elite orienteering *shouldn't* be that entertaining but the final leg women had more troubles than the men (with TG failing to add his traditional level of relay excitement)
