Faded kites

We have about 30 mini-kites for training which live in the local forest - they're less than two years old but some have become very faded and are in need of rejuvenation or replacement.
Any nopers found a practical way of re-colouring them? And failing that, which brand (if there is a choice) lasts longest? And am i being overly optimistic in expecting them to last more than a year or two?

I came a cross a guy called Michael Wood who lives near Wellington NZ who reminded me of the "It's" Man from Monty Python. He lives in the middle of a patch of jungle and had a few O kites decorating the abundant undergrowth that is his garden. (Mad Mike - Carol will know him.)

He said that he was doing a trial to see which ones faded the quickest. Well you do, don't you.

When on an extended tour of Europe, Michael Wood mapped Bloom Wood near High Wycombe (venue of the 2008 JOK Chasing Sprint), in return for nothing more than bed and board with one of our club members. Great guy.

Yes indeed, she bought me a very nice SH compass from him, which subsequently appeared at WMOC.

I well remember when you where there, as I was at a large London Hospital learning how the NHS managers achieve their waiting time targets - smoke and mirrors didn't quite cover it (the treatment and expertise of the doctors and nurse practitioner were fabulous btw).
