Maybe the contour with the tag, below the re-entrant/col junction, needed extending up to the junction and turning slightly northwards, with the form lines above eased away from it, to show that re-entrant 186 was an offshoot higher up.

Certainly, from the view I got from the spur, that would have provided a clearer interpretation. My feelings at the time were also that the spur to the south (over which I approached) wasn't quite the right shape, but that may just be memory. Definitely one to have another look at.

One of my first DQs was after I found a tape but no control in an adjacent pit and carried on. Tried to discuss it with the controller afterwards but was basically told to FO- 70's controllers didn't take any cr@p and would happily swear black was white as long as it kept them in the right.

I like tomtom ran to where I thought the control should be for 155 and found the tape ( I thought it didn't say 155 on though) then whilst running round the surrounding area was convinced I was in the right place then I ran lower found the control and continued.
The interesting bit is that Nopesport said that the planner and Jury member visited the site and deemed it to be in the correct place. The planner obviously has reasons why they thinks it should be there. I was wondering if the jury member went by themself, with the planner, or with the planner and someone who made a protest. As I feel if they visited with the planner they could have influenced the decision by saying how the control site worked with the map and not the problems that the athletes found.
I'm wondering if there is any protocol for the visiting of a control site by a Jury member?
