It is always hard at something like the JK to pick out any one of the team who deserves a special mention.
But I must say Stewart Durham on equipment gets my vote for "Worker of the Weekend".
Well done Stewart.

Re: Special mentions
I have always had the most immense repect for equipment guys since seeing them working so hard and efficiently at Tayside '95.
They are such a vital part of the team and work so hard and generally anonymously.

Re: Special mentions
I agree, he spent each day carting stuff in and out of vans, putting up stiles, showing people how to put up tents, explaining which box had which bits and driving back and forth between venues.
He was always one of the first there and the last to leave the venues.
He definitely deserved a gold medal.

Re: Special mentions
No one has been horrible about the relay yet and I'm too tired to do anything useful. (I'll look at the Glenalmond courses tomorrow, and update the BOF info on it)

I'll second that. Stewart did a fantastic job at Oban last year and it was the same again at the JK. He is a real star, and always with a smile on his face. It's good to see this being recognised

Re: Special mentions
It great to see one of the sports unsung heroes deservedly praised.
Perhaps Nick would like to widen his focus in CS on the class leaders to cover the people who put in tons of volunteer effort behind the scenes - the club level controllers / planners/ organisers /mappers / equipment officers etc who actually are the back-bone of the sport without which our events definitely wouldn't happen. Most wouldn't wan't to be featured but I'm sure would appreciate some representative recognition and thanks for their fraternity.

What a good idea - I'll give him a nudge - I'm fed up of reading about the goody goodies who don't watch reality TV and whose favourite drink is water

Re: Special mentions
I have shrunk the equipment officer to the right size! Stewart has volunteered for WTOC2015 (how do you get wheelchairs across sand?) and Moray 2013 so if anyone would like to be involved in the small but perfectly formed team let us know.
