no more safety pins and paper numbers
I'm looking forward to using this new iPad app at the big events this year. yet another orienteering tradition is superceeded by technology.

Once competitors finish we have also been looking into linking iPads as a "big screen" array to display GPS tracks (live tracking) as used at Oban 2011. The more finishers we have the bigger the screen will become.

You've given up on the idea of projecting the results and tracks onto specially arranged clouds then?
Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

Great idea - I'm sure it will cut the vast cost of buying numbers and safety pins
Should pay for itself in approx 50 years.......... without factoring in the broken iPads from falls
