Re: British Night Championships
I sent them the correct spelling. It wasn't me, honestly
Even though I am a terrible speller. I have e-mailed them and asked them to change it.

I believe you

membership database has the correct spelling. Not to difficult for the poster of the release to double check that your spelling of Bown was correct

Thank you. My husband definitely thinks I'm a terrible speller - but I only taught 6 year olds

Results uploaded to UK Cup website: http://www.ukcup.org.uk/. But not terribly exciting given this was only the first event!

Re: British Night Championships
I echo the praise to planner Andy Thornton and controller Mike Forrest. Course 3 was challenging: some of the possible 'round' routes were a looong way (or absent), and despite my lack of night experience I took a lot of direct routes through what was pretty runnable forest. With the possible exception of the veg boundary corner at 67 (I find vegetation changes very hard to spot at night: in this case I ticked off some features on the way in and then ran to the 'flag in forest' that appeared on cue) the control features were all nice and clear and the hanging was good. Thank you.

Agree most of that. Courses were good, controls hung fairly, map was fine, terrain was mainly clean and runnable, weather was fine and prizegiving went quickly - my only query was control codes. It was a good event.
