I started this thread and I still don't know how I'm going to store my bike in the uni flats.
Is it going to live in my bedroom?

Re: Croeso 2012
how about Alc-O/Beerienteering around Aberystwyth
I did raise the idea of a Beer relay aka the Czech 5 day beer relay madness - fancy dress, downing 1/2ltr of lager and staggering around the Univ in a drunken haze looking for controls...but it was felt a tad to far. The Czech beer relay was incredible viewing, absolute carnage...when a bottle of lager is cheaper than a mars bar what do you expect..and also the Aber Univ grounds are being used for the Urban day on the last day.

Re: Croeso 2012
A little fun event at teatime on the "rest" day would be nice, for those of us who can't manage a whole 24 hours without our fix. Start/finish at the castle, say. If you're interested, I can organise it for you. A

PhilJ, if you are staggering in a drunken haze after only 1/2 ltr of lager you are clearly not "pub fit" and need to get in training

Edit: Beer smiley added

Re: Croeso 2012
Thank you for the offer Adrian, I'll raise it at the next meeting. For the rest day we are also arranging a Mountain Bike O, details to follow (on the website), plus there is lots of things to do

Sorry to disappoint, but I was asked to remove references to MTBO on the rest day from the website the other day ...

Re: Croeso 2012
Re MTBO, sorry for the confusion, it was on the web site but I did not check before sending the post. If we can arrange something I will let you know.
BUT there are excellent MTB trails at Nant Yr Arian, where the training day is, so you can still get some adrenaline riding in. Plus there is a permanent 'O' course there so you combine your riding with the 'O' course.

Re: Croeso 2012
THANK YOU
A big thank you to all the Nopers and club contacts that I pestered to take flyers away with them on their summer holidays last year. The first entry cut off date has just passed and we had the same number of entries at 31/01 as we did at the end of CROESO 2008. So this year's CROESO looks like a bumper year.

Yes they are, and there's a pretty good service behind the Enquiry address too!
Latest update on accommodation: all the University flats have now been reserved. For those interested in a holiday cottage instead, there's one still available near the Day 4/5 areas. See http://www.croesomultiday.org.uk/news/cottage-available for more info.
Finally, the next entry fee cut-off is at the end of this month. So, if you're going to join the 1400 entries so far and want to save a few ££, then you have a couple of weeks in which to do so ...

Quick bump to the top
Next closing date is midnight 30th June, plus any changes to classes/courses will have a fee attached after this date.

Re: Croeso 2012
Details of each competition day and of general information have now been posted on the website http://www.croesomultiday.org.uk.
We now exceed 2000 entries making this by far the largest event in the UK this year in terms of competitor-runs. Quite a challenge for an Association which has fewer members than some of the larger English clubs, so any assistance which competitors could provide will be greatly appreciated.
