Re: Not the Nopesport League
At least one Final league position is still wrong (W55 Linda Hayles is in 23 and 76th positions and a Lindsey Hayles at 28th - They are all the same runner!
She should be much higher up

Re: Not the Nopesport League
The Yorkshire Urban league will hopefully be announced in the next day or two. One or two small glitches in permissions still being ironed out.
First event is likely to be in March, with the series ending in Sheffield at the end of November.
Currently it will be the best 6 from 11 events.
Bad news for the 70+ Ultravets. We're falling in line with the Nopesport League so this year you will be doing battle with those young whippersnapper 65s.

Re: Not the Nopesport League
The Bristol University race is the one you want to go to on the 16th May (and the rest of the Bristol Urban Series 2012 of course).
This is the first time orienteering has been brought into the heart of Bristol. Old and new university buildings, hidden gardens and crazy housing estates (http://flic.kr/p/8u1fU1), with a small dose of hills for good measure. Sprint-like middle courses - the best of both.
Oh, and I can promise you it will be better then both Cambridge AND Oxford!
The other (likely) dates;
18th/4 - University of Bath
25/4 - UWE
2/5 - Wrington
9/5 - Bradley Stoke
16/5 - Bristol University & Cotham
23/5 - St George and Troopers Hill
27/5 - Frenchay Village
30/5 - Bristol Harbourside - come and have a trial for next year...

Re : Yorkshire Urban League UNOFFICIAL Wordpress Site
I would just like to make it clear that that the site is unofficial and really just an extension of info that I wanted to put together for myself (but thought other like-minded people might find useful)
I will try to make it clear that it is an unofficial site, then any errors etc., don't reflect on the official Aire effort.
I have no intention of creating more work for anyone else (other than myself) but please do feel free to let me know if you would like anything added, or amended.
Thanks.

Yeah, I dressed it up a bit really. It's not a full-on stand alone race like Oxford/Cambridge, just part of a Wednesday evening Bristol urban series.
Still worth coming to though!

Re: Not the Nopesport League
Two Urban events being held by Wrekin Orienteers are:
Saturday 26th May - Bridgnorth - brand new map - part of a weekend in conjunction with HOC who are holding an event on Brown Clee on the Sunday.
Sunday 10th June - Shrewsbury - slightly extended map with a different assembly area to previous events.

Re: Not the Nopesport League
Prompted by the imminence of some Edinburgh results for the Scottish Urban League, I've been generalising the Nopesport Urban League site so that it can take uploads from, and display results for, the splendid new regional urban leagues that have taken up my offer of calculating points.
They are all linked off the NUL home page (see link at the foot of this message), but for reference they are:
SOUL, the Scottish Orienteering Urban League
NWUL, the North-West Urban League
SEOUL, the Southern England Orienteering Urban League (no races yet declared, but Jayne's been busy and this league will happen)
Organisers of events in these leagues will have to contact me for their upload passwords. Races that are in both the NUL and a regional league will need to be uploaded separately to each league (to cater for the Scots, who are / were planning to exclude interlopers (small 'i') from their SOUL).
Please excuse any birth pains, either in these regional leagues or knock-ons in the main Nopesport Urban League: my test of the most complicated bit of the revised programming was worryingly problem-free.
There's also of course the established and equally splendid Yorkshire Urban League, but so far the Yorkies are sticking with their existing scoring methods.

Re: Not the Nopesport League
Sunday 27th May is actually HALO at Beverley in East Yorkshire, I guess the CLARO event at Knaresborough (as far as I am aware) on Sunday 3rd June didn't make the cut?

Re: Not the Nopesport League
I'd understood seabird's message as a request for help with his old system rather than a request to join the new one; sorry!
Yorkshire now added, with HALO rather than CLARO on 27 May.
I've also added a 'club' column to the race listing, to provide a pointer on both location and where you can find out more information.

I'm going from the most recent YHOA fixture planner. Trying to seek clarification from YHOA Fixtures Sec.
