Can anyone clarify if colour coded entries are available for seniors at a reduced cost for the Saturday and/or the middle distance day. Oentries seems to suggest not, and I'm not really inclined to pay £16/£12 to wander (read waddle!) round a yellow.
Also, when does the early entry fee extend to?

Re: Scottish Champs 2012 - Jubilee 5 weekend
I couldnt find any guidelines for the Scottish Champs but the guidelines for the SOLs say this
21.Entry fees for all non TD5 courses should be charged at the student/junior rate (entrants are likely to be juniors, newcomers or injured).
I'd imagine the organisers would want something similar to encourage participation in all the non-O ing family members who arent up to the standard required for 2-3 hours in the forest.
Or you could just bring a deck chair and book and relax in the sunshine?

Last time I was at a SOL up in that neck of the woods I paid £16 to walk round an orange, so you are right to ask. Perhaps ask the contact from oentries? secretary@marocscotland.org.uk

The guidelines are here, but they don't say anything about fees as per SOL's. I looked when agreeing fees for Scottish Champs 2011. We however did follow the SOL guideline and had lower fees for White, Yellow, Orange & Light Green.
Not all SOL's follow this guideline though. Several last year charged full rate for the Light Green course.

The plan is to offer white, yellow, orange and light green courses at junior rates - I'll check what is on Oentries and try to make it fit the above model. Apologies if it does not do this yet!

Thanks Jon. I certainly can't see an option to select a colour coded course with a cheaper entry fee at the moment.

Re: Scottish Champs 2012 - Jubilee 5 weekend
I have changed the Oentres page - event fees should now allow adults to enter white, yellow, orange and long orange at junior rates. This is a real bargain because after maps, toilets and SOA and BOF levies the marginal profit from a £7 entry fee is about zero!
Please let me know if there are any further problems and I'll do my (not very good) best to try to fix them.

Thanks Jon. Appreciated. I'm sure I will be getting more than my fair share's use out of the toilets as well!
P.S. Hope there's not a mammoth walk to the start!

Likewise Jon. That sort of thing makes the difference between my wife coming and watching, or coming and doing an orange.

Make it a whole week of orienteering in Scotland by staying on for the World TrailO Championships straight after the Jubilee 5. It's based in Dundee with competition at Tentsmuir and Camperdown Park. There's a full 4 day programme of public events to try TrailO and TempO and compare your map and terrain interpretation skills with the world's best. Support the British team too!

Is there no student entry price for the Jubilee 5 races? Can I enter as junior for student price?

Yes - if the system allows it! If not get in touch and I'll try to change the entry system again! As organisers we will reserve the right to ask for proof of student status for any seniors entering at junior price.
Hope this works out!
