What a great event! Mapping the boulders and incorporate micro orienteering into a classic race turned an average area into a real challenge.
Oli's boulder map was a joy to use and Ricky's courses were carefully crafted to maximum use of the best bits of the area. I think my longest leg was nearly 2km and shortest about 20 metres! Anyone involved in mapping and planning awards should take a close look at this event.
The kids enjoyed Colin's 'magic numbers' in the car park too - another good idea although sadly the wind took its toll on the little ones.
Nearly didn't bother to go as the weather looked grim - glad we did and very grateful to Lucy and the rest of the organising team for braving the gale force winds.

Re: Burbage Boulders
I just put the Burbage results online.
Winsplits and Splitsbrowser (and maybe Routegadget) to follow later.
Very much enjoyed the course and the boulders challenge.

Didn't come across anyone who didn't enjoy it - despite the gale.
The micro was great fun - and easy to mess up The 1;10000 planning was first rate also.
Hope SYO can get it on Route Gadget

Compliments to the planning/mapping/organising team. Really enjoyed the Black course, thrown straight into the boulders on the small scale really made you think from the beginning. The map in this part was excellent, and once you'd worked out the mapping style could use it very well to get to each control.

Routegadget is up for the parts of the courses on the 1:10,000 map, for both the near and far starts. The parts of the courses on the 1:2000 map will follow tomorrow.

Started to put up my route, but abandoned.
The Blue course is missing a control - what was #10 and should now be #3. Code 41.

A totally brilliantly conceived, planned and executed event. The changes in scale were pretty tough the first time round but mind-bending the second time. Loved the planning, to have a clutch of 50m legs and a 1.5k leg on the same course was a joy and it really made the best of the area. Particularly enjoyed the "long" legs on the boulder area.
Massive thanks to all involved, I saw the future of the sport on Sunday. Best event of my year.

Sorry, I had to re-draw all courses and got that one wrong. Thanks for letting me know.
