Re. Sprints, I think it's true people complain about travelling for 20 minutes but I think if you do them as a prologue and a chase (or prologue and final) they can be really good. Especially if, as at Leeds, there's somewhere nice and warm and sociable to sit around and chat in the interim.

Agreed. The change of format to the Chester NUL event to 2 sprints worked well and I still ran for about the same amount of time as I would have in a normal race.

Of course, it depends which events the Cartel decide to include in the 2012 League; eagerly awaited .......

That is down to clubs/events rather than the league - we're happy for chasing sprints and anything else to be in the league as long as it fits with the classes, ultimately they need to be urban.

Sorry: that wasn't meant to be a comment about the NUL itself, more the choice of events available.
OTOH - the cartel did choose Skipton rather than Leeds (although was very glad that one was chosen!). Personally (and no reflection on the respective teams, more a comment on the formats), whilst I really enjoyed Skipton, the Leeds race was even more enjoyable.

INT will probably do a proper urban race in Livingston come November. Will think more about exactly which bit once I'm done with Edinburgh and the JK.
