Re: Copeland Chase
I don't send any formal final details out to competitors unless weather or other situations dictate...we try and keep this low key and relaxed!
ER has posted the key info on starts and parking but I would add that we prefer Long course competitors to start in the first hour where possible and that parking will either be in the show field or on the road dependent on the condition of the field when I check it tomorrow...and it's raining here tonight.
And when it says limited EOD...thats what it means. We have just short of 80 pre-entries this year and only a few spare maps...on the plus side we have a lot of cake!

Re: Copeland Chase
Great race today. Unseasonably good weather for mid-November (warm, sunny, light breeze). Very pleasant bit of the lakes you wouldn't normally get to go to. Good courses with some long legs and interesting route choices. Nice laid-back organisation, with just sufficient pre-event information (start time window and parking grid reference - what more do you need?). And lots of cake at the finish. Thanks WCOC.

What a great event. I don't often see 3 almost equal route choices on a 3 km long leg, and that was just the first control, and control 4 gave a similar but longer experience.Great course, great route choices, and views, weather, tea and cake. Thanks to John et al!

Re: Copeland Chase
Have to agree with above comments - what a great day to be out on the fells. I even decided to take what I knew was going to be a less than optimal route to go via the summit of Hen Comb (leg 4-5 Medium). I even stopped for a few seconds to admire the crackin views!
