Courses at SYO’s level B regional event on Burbage on 27th November are described as “classic length orienteering courses with a twist”. Oli Johnson has surveyed and drawn a highly detailed map of an area of boulders popular with the local climbing fraternity below Burbage Edge. All the most technical courses will incorporate one or two visits to this area, which will require a switch of mindset to high-intensity micro-orienteering on the large-scale map extracts on the reverse of the standard-scale map.
The event is an Interland Selection race for veterans so there is likely to be a strong field on most courses. If you are up for a new experience, come along.

Shame about the clash with Tim Watkins Trophy.

As this appears to be the blatant plug thread, I must point out that both these clash with SLOW's OK Nuts Trophy on Hankley Common. This will feature 2 Blodslitet courses, except that we are using an English translation and calling them Blood races. Also colour courses from White to Blue.

Whichever of the range of great events you choose to run next weekend, don't forget to enter!
SYO's level B event can be entered on Fabian4, but entries close tomorrow.
