SOL8?

I notice that up until recently SOL7 at Barry Budden was to be the last in the series.

However, now I note that the Tinto Twin day event is also SOL8.

Therefore anyone who doesn't seal a victory in their SOL class tomorrow has another bite at the cherry next weekend

Cant work out if youre on the wind up, genuinely meistaken or trying to upsell the Tinto Twin. Pretty sure its a standalone event this year - level C.

Apologies to everyone, there is no SOL 8.
I realised that I had not promoted the Tinto Twin on the SOA website, so added it in a rush before leaving home for a few days. My memory (not the most reliable) was that the day event is usually a SOL, so added it to the title. I'm now told that it's usually a SOL every other year, but not this year.

But just because it's not A SOL doesn't mean you shouldn't enter. You still have until Sunday night before entries close at oentries.com.

We can have a rematch. I'm only just beating you in FWTNs and SOLs. You are catching up rapidly and I suspect are about to overtake me. It's a shame it's not a SOL, I didn't realise until the ESOA AGM this week that the number of SOLs was limited to 7.

I was going great yesterday until control 13,third from last, when I veered off and found 14 instead! Even then I struggled to find it. Cost me about 3-4 minutes.

I didnt get a run yesterday (in part due to the length of time my wife was out on orange (TD3??)) but spent a fair bit of time waiting at the finish and heard more than a few comments about a possible misplaced control near the end (or in some opinions maybe the map was a bit iffy there).

Well I've entered the day event so I'm expecting it to be good - Can't do the Night event because Nato have a "Spook-O" to mark Halloween a day or two early at Newburn (Blatant Plug icon definitely needed)

No it was a knoll with thicket. It probably was in the right place, sadly I wasn't. Still, I found control 14 twice.
